The results from the poll show that most of you felt there were too many forums. The most popular choice, by far, was to consolidate them into chassis type, so that's what I've done.

Please let me know if you find any problems or I missed anything.

Thanks to Eric, for giving me a little kick and getting me started on the conversion.

Wayne,

Got mine too! Now I have to secure a 1:18 scale model case.

As for a writeup, please do. If you get it done quick enough, I'll put it in the next issue of VENOM.

Just wish they had a black interior option. Oh well.

So, what do you guys think of your 100 bucks? I'll tell you the 2 I've gotten so far aren't worth the money. The first was returned to GMP because of no less then 15 paint defects, flashing on the wheels and tires that are mounted backwards. After speaking with Anthony at GMP, I was pleased that I would get a replacement and that he would check it out to be sure it was a good one. Well, car number 2 shows up with fewer paint defects but not by much and the same flashing on the wheels and reversed tires.

They told me they inspect 10% of these cars, but both that I recieved were labeled "inspected"....

So, what do you guys see? Be sure to look for paint defects on the lower edges of the body side moulding, this is where the car sits on their fixturing while painting. You should find at least 8 points where the paint is crap....

If you can overlook the issues, the rest of the detailing is nice. I wish they had a sunroof and grey interior for my red 93, but he what can you do.....

Hey Henry,
I'm pretty happy with it. I just finished my review for SCOA.org. All my tires look like they are going in the right direction. I only noticed one mark on the paint near the bottom, and it really wasn't enough to bother me.

Henry,

My paint is pretty much dead on. Much better than my full sized CObra was when I got it with 5 miles! I have some MINOR flash on the driver's side front rim. Other than that, I am completely pleased. Looks like you got the two bad ones in the bunch. Did you pre-order, or get one after they became available?

Thanks!
I was surprised how hard it was to take pictures of something that small.

Great review Wayne. I have no experience with GMP so to you guys that do, do you think the price of these models will come down some eventually?

Jim,

DOubt the price will come down. BTW, did you see that GMP has a 1993 CObra R out? Will only make 1,000. Same price as the street Cobras. Since my 93 resembles an R more than a street version now, I may have to buy the R -model as well.
