 The results are in!
The results from the poll show that most of you felt there were too many forums. The most popular choice, by far, was to consolidate them into chassis type, so that's what I've done.

Please let me know if you find any problems or I missed anything.

Thanks to Eric, for giving me a little kick and getting me started on the conversion.

no problems that I am aware of. I would look into the 99-up cars if you are worried about ride quality. The 99-ups came with IRS and are a much better riding car than the earlier live axle cars. If it is going to see a lot of dragstrip action though, you will want the live axle (98 model)

It really depends on what your looking for ... As already stated if your a straight line kinda guy .. the 98 would be a better choice since it already has a live axle. but if your a corner carver (autocross, road course) then the 99+ would be a better deal.

If you go for the 99 you will want to check and see if it has had the HP fix done. they hit the streets with less HP than ford advertised and they issues a recall (I believe but it might have been a TSB) for an exhaust fix and a head fix (again this is from memory but you want to be sure it got done what ever it is).

I have not heard about long term issues with either of these cars. and how could you EVER regret buying a COBRA no matter what the year or the condition LOL!!
