The results from the poll show that most of you felt there were too many forums. The most popular choice, by far, was to consolidate them into chassis type, so that's what I've done.

Please let me know if you find any problems or I missed anything.

Thanks to Eric, for giving me a little kick and getting me started on the conversion.

Hello Everyone!

I just wrecked my 96' Cobra and I was told that frame can't be fix so I had been looking around for another frame to transfer engine, trans and axle.

Does anyone know possibility to change out 96' Cobra frame against 95' Mustang frame to exchange major components?

Is there any modification require to mount engine?

Thank you,

Ki

Ki,

Everything will fit from the 96 into a 94-95 chassis. I believe the only structural piece you'd need would be the 1996 K-member. I think. You may be able to reuse the 94-95 K-member.

One of our other club members has a mod motor K-member free for pick up in the New England area.

Also the 96 cobra transmission has the mount in a different location. So ford made a different trans. crossmember to make up for the difference the 96 body has brackets (for the x-member) that are bolted to the body. The 95 body has brackets that are welded on, in different location. Just cut the 95 brkts off and drill new holes for the cobra brkts.
