 The results are in!
The results from the poll show that most of you felt there were too many forums. The most popular choice, by far, was to consolidate them into chassis type, so that's what I've done.

Please let me know if you find any problems or I missed anything.

Thanks to Eric, for giving me a little kick and getting me started on the conversion.

upgrading the brakes on my 97 cobra, new rotors, stainless lines and pads. the front went easy, but can not figure out how to get the rear piston compressed enough to get the new pads in. followed the instructions in my chilton book but no where does it state how to do it, on the front calibers it says use a c-clamp, which of course was pretty straight forward, to compress the piston. i know i am missing something simple, maybe it is just too late at night, any suggestions to help out, thanks

yes, i guess it was a late night. after some more research the rear caliber pistons screw in clockwise to compress to get the new pads to fit. supposely you can do it with a pair of needlenose pliars but there is a special tool that actually does the job. another good project for the weekend. the stopping power of the new brembo rotors up front with the stainless lines and hawk pads was impressive.

The screw-type calipers first arrived with anti-lock brakes. I remember a lot of pistons were destroyed because people didn't know they were different (they looked the same on the outside to us back-yard mechanics) And they were much more expensive to replace, so you only screwed up once.
