 The results are in!
The results from the poll show that most of you felt there were too many forums. The most popular choice, by far, was to consolidate them into chassis type, so that's what I've done.

Please let me know if you find any problems or I missed anything.

Thanks to Eric, for giving me a little kick and getting me started on the conversion.

I am trying to find my build number for my 95 Cobra. I know that it is one of 484 white with saddle leather but I want to know when it was built in conjunction with all the others. Maybe even how many are still left. The dang registry page doesnt work on here too. Maybe the mod's on here can help with that.

Hi Taylor,

First - congratulations on your '95 Cobra. I have a '94, and I've always been very pleased with the car (moreso even than my '05 Mustang GT). It has great low end grunt, good power overall, handles well with some basic modifications, and still manages to get decent mileage for a V8, in my opinion. I hope you like yours as well as I like mine.

So, on to your question: your SVT production number, and the date of production, would be found on your SVT Certificate. The original owner of your car would have gotten the certificate mailed to them around the end of the production year, plus a month or two. Usually around October. If they didn't pass along the original to you, the only way to get another is through SVT. Ford has been very generous about this over the years (it used to be a free thing!) but I think now you need to pay a small fee for them to generate a replica of the original and send it to you, after you convince them you own the car (VIN/title information is sufficient, if I remember right). You can call 1-800-FORD-SVT to follow up on this.

In addition, your build date was originally stamped in yellow or red paint near the radiator, above the headlight. You're looking for something like '6/09' (June 9th) for example. If previous owners showed the car a lot it may have been polished off (it's very easy to do).

I'll take a swing at the registry page, but one thing about it is that the SCOA registry only consists of data reported by the members, since Ford does not give out this data. Also, SCOA doesn't generally give out the data. Someday the registry may be complete enough to use in a SAAC sort of way, to identify real and fake Cobras for people buying/selling. If you want more information you should contact Tom Shepherd in Texas - he's the SCOA admin for '95's, and I believe he owns at least two (one regular Cobra and one R). He's a wealth of information and a pleasure to speak to.

Best regards,
SoCal94
