 The results are in!
The results from the poll show that most of you felt there were too many forums. The most popular choice, by far, was to consolidate them into chassis type, so that's what I've done.

Please let me know if you find any problems or I missed anything.

Thanks to Eric, for giving me a little kick and getting me started on the conversion.

In a bizarre string of coincidences, heard a name on the news just now similar to Bob Lyons, remembered all his involvement in the old SCOA board and group until he backed off for work, Googled his name to see if he was still in the SVT world in any way (hoping to avoid a ton of AT&T hits...). And here I am!!!

I was shocked to see this site back up, but glad at the same time. I was one of the few folks on the original board back in 1994 and 1995 leading up to getting a black '96 coupe in the fall of 1995. It was an occassional driver for several years before becoming my daily car about 9 years ago.

Currently have about 187K miles, handful of mods. Still original drivetrain, second clutch. It's been a terrific car, currently struggling with a choice of selling it or facing the inevitable inflow of cash that will be needed sometime soon. Now that I've found this group again, I can only imagine how this is going to turn out!!

Look forward to poking around the posts here. Long ways from the old listserve.....

Hi George,
Welcome back.
187,000 Wow, that's amazing. I'm really impressed with the durability of these mod motors. My wife's Taurus has the "baby" mod (v6) and she's well over 100k now.
The Listserve is still alive, feel free to re-subscribe.

Hi guys, I must say I was also glad to see this group is still knocking around. My blown Rio Red 1995 Cobra is long gone but not forgotten. Back in 1995 I formed the NorCal chapter of the SCOA and we had some very fun gatherings.

I wonder if Bob still has the old registry database info on our cars. Now that I've retired I would like to find my old VIN number and perhaps locate the car for a restoration project.

That would make a great story for the newsletter. If you do decide to look for it, please document the quest, I'm sure a lot of us would love to hear how it turns out.

Contact Bob - I am sure he has the data still!

Good to see some familiar names again!

(I helped found SCOA SoCal Chapter and my wife and I were very active through around 2001... still have the '94, with ~70k miles on it)

Best regards,
SoCal94 (Eric)

Hi: Just cruising the internet and clicked on some old SVT SCOA e-mails and decided to see if anyone was still out there. Surprised to find that the SCOA web site is back up. Great News.. Anyway, I was involved in the club back in early 1996 right after I purchased my Laser Red 96 Cobra. I kept pretty involved for the first couple of years, but like others, just got busy with work and three moves with my job. Finally things seem to be settling down a bit, and now that the weather is now "spring", I've driving my cobra to work for the last few days.

I guess the bug is starting to bite again.. My car is still stock, except for a new set of Bilco shocks and struts. I have 32,000 miles on the car. I have been to three tracks with the car, the last time in Nashville, I think in 2004 at the 40th Mustang Anniversary. Anyway, great to see the web site back up and running and look forward to keep in touch and maybe renewing some old friendships.

Boy, I guess you can tell I've been away for awhile. I guess I should correct my earlier e-mail and say the only thing I've replaced are the struts and shocks with "Bilsteins" not Bilco's. Oh well, guess I really need to get back into this car stuff.....

Welcome back, Bob!

I'd better clarify and say that the registry info would be coming from Bob Lyons! ;)

Best regards,
