The results from the poll show that most of you felt there were too many forums. The most popular choice, by far, was to consolidate them into chassis type, so that's what I've done.
Please let me know if you find any problems or I missed anything.
Thanks to Eric, for giving me a little kick and getting me started on the conversion.

I am an origrinal owner of a Black 93 with about 165K miles on it. I have a fairly new 347 stroker motor in my F-150. I need to get rid of the F-150 and was thinking of swapping out the motors. My question concerns the "collectability" of the Cobra. It has quite a bit of brake/wheel/suspension mods, but I have all the stock parts in the basement. Due to it's high mileage is it ever going to be worth anything? By getting rid of the stock motor how much will that hurt whatever value it still has? Isn't the Cobra motor pretty much a stock 302, with Roller Rockers, special CAM and the GT40 IRON heads? Is there even a way to tell what motor came with the car? I do not understand about all that matching numbers stuff. Thanks for any help, advise ya'll can give. P.S. I do not plan on ever getting rid of it, but I would like to make an informed decision. |

Mikemad,
Will any late model SVT Cobra reach true collectible status in another 20-30 years? DOn't know. However, the 93 CObras have been holding up a pretty fair resale value, even some of the high mileage ones, as long as everything works and the wear is kept to a minimum. You're right about the engine, it's a stock block with a late 93 T-Bird cam, GT-40 heads, Crane roller rockers, GT-40 intake, 65mm TB and 70mm MAF. I'd say go ahead an put the 347 in it. And, if you can, keep the original motor.
BTW, my Teal/Black Cloth 93 only has 22K miles on it. However, it has a boatload of road course modifications. In another 30 years I may kick myself, but I enjoy the car now.
